Lauren Deknis Bortolami is the founder and owner of The Reiki Shoppe and She Plans It. She is a native of Bridgewater, MA and returned to her home town in 2006 and opened the shoppe in July of 2007. Ms. Bortolami is a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher, Herbalist, and Event Planner.

Ms. Bortolami discovered her intuitive and spiritual gifts at the early age of five after being stricken with several illnesses and high fevers from the ages of one to five, almost costing her her life. Ms. Bortolami received the first level of Reiki as well as two Herbal Medicine apprenticeship programs in 1996. After the loss of her father in 2005, and during a difficult time in her life, Lauren decided to continue her studies in Reiki. In 2006, Lauren became a Reiki Practitioner and in 2007 a Reiki Master and completed a program in Spiritual Communication. The training helped her to become emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually stronger to help others going through the same situations as she had with bereavement, illness, divorce, stress, and trauma. Lauren opened the Reiki Shoppe in July 2007 in downtown Bridgewater Center at the Rotary. The Reiki Shoppe has done very well since the opening. "All of our clients ages range from 18 to 75 and their occupations and backgrounds vary from Bridgewater State College Students, Registered Nurses, Construction Workers, to Business Owners". "They come for Reiki for relaxation, stress reduction, and pain modification as well as Spiritual Healing if they lost someone and want to connect to them". "Most of our clients are repeat customers coming back weekly, biweekly or monthly and referring new clients to us" says Lauren Deknis Bortolami.

Ms. Bortolami is a member of the International Natural Healers Association, the International Association of Reiki Professionals, The Bridgewater Business Association, and is a parishoner at St. Thomas Acquanis Church.

The Reiki Shoppe is a Wellness Place and Gift Emporium for Men, Women, Children, and Pets. We specialize in both Reiki and Spiritual Healing and a menu of other wellness services including Raindrop Therapy, Ear Coning, and Tandem Healing. The Reiki Shoppe offers on-going events in our shoppe with classes and groups and off-site private gatherings for our clients.

We are the first local business to provide discounts to EMS/Public Safety Personnel and the US Armed Forces due to the stress and trauma they suffer on the job. We travel to hospitals and homes for terminally ill or elderly clients and pets. Hours are by appointment on week nights, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Reiki is used by trained nurses, EMS personnel, nuns, priests, and practitioners to slow down the bleeding process, for pre/post surgery trauma, stress and pain reduction, and to balance the mind, body, and spirit. Many clients come to The Reiki Shoppe for backache, headache, neck ache, and general pain as well as help for emotional and spiritual healing. Our services are both intuitive and unique. Whether our client is ill, going through bereavement, divorce, stress, or trauma we will apply different techniques intuitively during the entire session. Our clients have been repeat customers because they have had a good experience and have felt well treated in our shoppe. A client favorite is the Reiki/Spiritual Sessions which help our clients to relax and to connect, cope, and heal from the loss of an accident victim or loved one.
